Heidi

Product Manager, Clinical Trials

London

About this role

We’re Heidi. We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. In just 18 months, our clinical AI products have absorbed the administrative chaos of 73 million patient visits. Today, we support over 2.5 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries. Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world’s healthcare capacity and strengthen the human connection at its heart. We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again. If you don’t choose easy and you want to build something way bigger than yourself then, choose the challenge, choose Heidi. The role Clinical trials still ask patients, clinicians, research sites, sponsors and CROs to hold a fragmented system together by hand. Eligibility gets checked on paper. Referrals lose momentum at every hand-off. A patient who would have been a perfect match never hears the study exists. We’re looking for a Clinical Product Manager who knows that system from the inside and wants to rebuild it. You’ll shape a new clinical trials platform spanning patient identification and trial discovery, eligibility and pre-screening, referral and site intake, and the workflows life sciences organisations rely on to deliver studies. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll move between research sites, sponsor and CRO teams, patients, design, data and engineering, then turn what you learn into a product that ships. We care less about the exact title you’ve held than whether you’ve worked inside clinical trials, at a sponsor, CRO, research site, health system or trial technology company, and whether you can read a regulated clinical workflow, find the constraint that matters, and take a team from ambiguity to a measurable outcome. What you’ll do Own the product direction. Set the strategy, outcomes and roadmap for Heidi’s clinical trials product. Make clear calls about where we start, what we deliberately don’t build yet, and which bespoke customer request doesn’t belong on the roadmap. Work inside the workflow. Spend real time with investigators, research nurses and coordinators, referring clinicians, patients, sponsor teams and CRO operators. Observe the work, not the meeting about the work. Map the whole journey, from study set-up and trial awareness through matching, consent, referral, site intake, screening, enrollment and retention. Find where software removes delay without weakening clinical or operational control. Make pre-screening safe to trust. Turn complex inclusion and exclusion criteria into workflows that are explainable, reviewable and obvious to a coordinator under time pressure. Ship with design and engineering. Translate ambiguous clinical and commercial needs into crisp problem statements, prototypes, requirements and sequenced releases, then stay close through validation, launch and iteration. Build trust into the product. Partner with clinical, legal, privacy, security and quality so consent, traceability, explainability, role-based access, auditability and human review are designed in from the start. Make pragmatic integration and data calls across EHR/EMR, CTMS, EDC, eConsent, ePRO, trial registries, identity and communications systems. Measure outcomes, not output. Define the funnel metrics that matter: time to match, referral completeness, site response time, pre-screening effort, screen-failure rate, enrollment conversion, retention and user trust. If we’d worked together the last 6 weeks You’d have sat in on screening visits at three research sites and come back with the two reasons coordinators still keep a paper eligibility checklist next to
