Role Overview: We are looking for an E-Commerce Merchandiser to own the product presentation and organization of a Shopify Plus store. This person will manage a large SKU catalog, build and optimize product and collection pages, develop merchandising strategies, maintain catalog accuracy, and create AI-assisted workflows to scale operations. Key Responsibilities: Build and manage Shopify Plus product pages , including layouts, variants, metafields, imagery, specs, and copy. Own collections and homepage merchandising , including product sequencing, featured categories, and curated collections. Onboard new products and vendors while maintaining accurate product data and taxonomy. Manage large catalogs and ensure correct variants, naming, attributes, collections, and no orphaned/broken products. Create style-based, room-based, seasonal, and "Complete the Look" collections . Review performance data to identify underperforming products, pages, and categories and make merchandising improvements. Coordinate with content teams on required photography, renderings, and product assets. Build AI-assisted workflows for catalog enrichment, tagging, copy generation, image QA, and other repetitive tasks. Establish scalable merchandising processes and standards as the company grows. Requirements Hands-on Shopify/Shopify Plus experience with products, variants, metafields, collections, and bulk operations. Experience managing large catalogs, ideally thousands to tens of thousands of SKUs. Strong understanding of product taxonomy, catalog structure, and data quality. Strong visual/aesthetic sense and understanding of e-commerce merchandising and conversion-focused page structure. Ability to analyze basic e-commerce performance data and turn insights into merchandising actions. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify catalog inconsistencies. AI-native: demonstrated experience building or using AI-assisted workflows for e-commerce/catalog operations. Highly resourceful and self-directed; comfortable creating processes from scratch. Able to work US hours. Preferred Experience with building materials, home improvement, furniture, or interiors. Figma, Canva, Notion, or basic image-editing skills. PIM or bulk catalog management experience. Basic Liquid, SQL, or Python knowledge.
