This is a key leadership role, you'll report directly to our VP Engineering, own the data engineering function, and be responsible for building a world-class platform that powers insights and decision-making across Immersive. Your team currently works with a solid foundation of cloud infrastructure and modern tooling. Your mission is to modernize our architecture, elevate engineering practices, and grow a high-performing, inclusive team that becomes known for delivering reliable, scalable data solutions. As a leader, you'll blend technical credibility with people leadership—mentoring engineers, setting vision, removing blockers, and advocating for data excellence across the organization. You'll partner closely with product, analytics, and commercial teams to ensure our data strategy drives real business impact. Your main responsibilities: As Senior Engineering Manager - Data Engineering, you will own the strategic direction and operational execution of our data engineering team. You'll balance people leadership with hands-on technical judgment (not daily coding). Typical responsibilities include: Lead and develop a talented team of 8+ data engineers, driving a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and technical excellence through coaching, mentoring, and clear goal-setting Define and execute the data engineering strategy in close alignment with product and business priorities, driving the roadmap for modernization, architecture improvements, and platform reliability Champion the modernization of our data infrastructure evolving our cloud data warehouse, orchestration layer, and tooling to support scale, performance, and data quality Set and monitor clear team performance metrics, delivery timelines, and quality standards; ensure projects ship on schedule while maintaining high engineering standards Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics engineering, and commercial teams, acting as the bridge between data engineering and the wider business Advocate for scalable, secure, and future-proof da
