Position Summary: The Procurement Contract Specialist serves as the operational liaison between Procurement and Legal, helping accelerate contract review, improve contract quality, and strengthen contract data governance across the enterprise. This role performs first-pass commercial and administrative review of sourcing agreements using company-approved standards and playbooks, coordinates and tracks Legal review, maintains consistent contract documentation and file naming, and captures required contract metadata in the enterprise contract repository. The Procurement Contract Specialist partners closely with Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Legal, business stakeholders, and suppliers to improve visibility, prioritization, cycle time, and compliance throughout the contracting process. The role does not provide legal advice and escalates non-standard legal terms and risk decisions to Legal in accordance with established guidelines. Core Responsibilities: Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between Procurement and Legal for sourcing and supplier contract workflow, status, documentation, and prioritization. Perform first-pass review of supplier agreements, statements of work, amendments, order forms, and related sourcing documents using approved Procurement and Legal contracting standards, templates, and playbooks. Identify and redline approved business and commercial terms thatNeoGenomicsseeks to preserve across agreements, such as payment terms, renewal provisions, termination rights, pricing protections, service-level commitments, and other pre-approved positions. Route legal issues, non-standard provisions, material deviations, and risk-based decisions to Legal for review and resolution; do not independently provide legal advice or approve legal risk. Partner with Procurement to assess business urgency, sourcing stage, financial impact, and operational needin order toprioritize agreements submitted for Legal review. Partner with Legal to maintain visibility to contract status, ownership, open issues, aging, next actions, and expected completion dates. Maintain a centralized contract tracker and provide routine reporting on contract volume, cycle time, aging, bottlenecks, pending actions, and other workflow metrics. Apply and maintain standardized contract naming conventions, version control, folder structure, and document retention methodology across Procurement-managed agreements.
